Energy Performance Features

IAMU office building uses a variety of technologies and design features to reduce energy consumption by up to 55 percent compared to a typical new code-compliant office building. Cost-effective energy efficiency features include daylighting, lighting controls, a geothermal heating and cooling system, airtight construction, on-demand water heating, heat recovery, and energy efficient site lighting.

Thanks to the Energy Resource Station of the Iowa Energy Center, you can track IAMU's real-time energy usage and learn more about the building’s energy saving features (see below for user name and password).
